India-Based Producer of Industrial Abrasives, SAK Abrasives, Acquires Buffalo Abrasives, USA Producer of Grinding Wheels

Indian producer of wide range industrial abrasives, SAK Abrasives Inc., acquired Buffalo Abrasives Inc., US-based manufacturer of resin bonded grinding wheels. Details of the agreement and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Buffalo Abrasives was advised by SORTIS’ partner in the Globalscope M&A Advisors network – Paramax Corporation, an investment banking firm focused on strategic sell-side advisory services.

Buffalo Abrasives, Inc. located in North Tonawanda, USA, offers a complete line of grinding wheels, including resin, rubber, shellac, and vitrified bonds, and an extensive range of grain types and grit sizes. The company is a fourth-generation family owned and run business that caters mainly to the North American market with distribution spread across the entire continental US. The company has customers in the automotive, oil and gas, aerospace, steel, and bearing industries. Commenting on the acquisition, Jeff Binkley, Buffalo co-founder and CEO said: “We are very excited to be partnering with such an innovative and talented company.
