Niantic, US software company and creator of the popular augmented reality game Pokemon Go, has attracted a third round venture capital funding of $190 M from 26 institutions. IVP, aXiomatic Gaming and Samsung are among the investors.
So far, Niantic has attracted a total of $415 M from investors such as Founders Fund, Spark Capital and Alsop Louie Partners.
The new funding will help Niantic to complete their new augmented reality game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, which is expected to be released in 2019.
