The Chinese software company Thunder Software Technology (ThunderSoft) acquired MM Solutions, a Bulgarian mobile image software provider, from its shareholders: Texas Instruments Inc. and four natural persons.
MM Solutions developed a state-of-the-art mobile and industrial graphics imaging technology. The company is focused on providing a one-stop solution for high-end graphics and imaging products, including embedded imaging and computer vision for mobile phones, the Internet of Things and automobiles.
ThunderSoft is planning to launch auto-smart integrated systems and the merger would bring in a competitive imaging technology enhance the customer base. According to ThunderSoft, the deal would also strengthen its capabilities in the embedded vision and artificial intelligence sectors.
The deal values MM Solutions at ca. 5.5x EBITDA. The company reported a consolidated revenue of about EUR 12.9 M in 2016.
