Visma Group, Nordic region’s leading supplier of business software and services, acquires Poland based BrainSHARE IT sp.z o.o. to strengthen its Northern European leadership in cloud-based accounting solutions. BrainSHARE IT’s key product is SaldeoSMART, leading cloud system for accounting offices and accounting departments in small and medium-sized enterprises. The buyer was advised by SORTIS’ partner in the Globalscope M&A Advisors network – Aventis Capital, a M&A advisory firm based in Warsaw, Poland, with extensive experience in working with international private equity investors and family-owned businesses. According to the press release, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Visma Group provides business software and IT related development and consultancy to enterprises of all sizes, public sector, retail businesses, and accounting. With this acquisition, Visma expands its geographic footprint in Poland from sales and support functions for its international products to its first Polish product range.‘SaldeoSMART will increase the influence of Visma on improving the effective operations of accounting offices in Northern Europe. SaldeoSMART is an effective and easily accessible tool based on cloud computing technology for accounting offices and enterprises with their own accounting departments. The system enables secure digitization of documents and automation of business processes. SaldeoSMART offers the following modules: reading documents using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technique, document flow, employee panel and invoicing. ’Our vision is to simplify accounting processes and transfer them to the cloud.
