Mr. Martin Paev, CFA, Chairman of SORTIS Group (Bulgaria) was invited to take part at the Debt & Restructuring Forum, which took place on 28 November 2018 at Hilton Vienna Hotel in Austria. He was the only participant from Bulgaria and spoke at the Investment Perspective panel. Mr. Paev commented on various topics including:
- How investors assess opportunities and their preferences for structuring transactions;
- Management of investments to ensure Return on Investment (ROI) targets are achieved;
- Developments in the Debt and Restructuring Market in Bulgaria and the Challenges for Transactions in Southeast Europe.
He also answered questions and gave examples on the increasing complexity and risks of the transactions and ways of handling them. Mr. Paev spoke about the penetration of technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Automation, Blockchain and Internet of Things in the banking, financial and investment industries and increasing accessibility of information.
The 3rd Debt & Restructuring forum in Vienna was an all-day conference event for banks, investors, advisers and lawyers, to meet, connect and exchange ideas on debt and restructuring needs across Europe.
